Really enjoyed my 3 night stay. Staff was amazing! Helpful and friendly. Actually most of the guests were too. I love visiting with other people through a delicious breakfast. Seriously, something for everyone. New owners are updating and getting things repaired and it’s just great! I love that it’s so tucked away in a forest of trees. Patio was refreshing. Nephews enjoyed the pool so much! As did us girls! Vaulted ceiling in our room makes the room seem so big! I really can’t say enough. Prices are amazing and the work they are putting in is just going to keep the reviews climbing upwards!!!!!
Long time visitor to this place. I'm thoroughly IMPRESSED with the new owner's improvements to this place. The Inn had been totally neglected for a decade due to previous owners greed...with no maintenance or updates whatsoever. Today is the first time I've seen the landscaping trimmed and cut in a long time. Lighting works now in the parking lot! The rooms and lobby are still clean and cozy...very comfortable retreat. Highly recommend this place. It's going to take time to get the Inn back to former glory....but gotta give this guy credit for taking on the tasks, and after a month of ownership, it looks much better.
Wonderful staff!! I'm only giving them 4 stars because there are stains in the carpet. I would recommend this place to everyone. I can't say enough about the staff. I have health issues and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. Fresh fruit daily as well as other breakfast options.
If you are tired of cookie cutter hotels that all look the same, you should try this place. It is getting some much needed TLC from it's new owners and management. Gloria and Megan at the front desk were very helpful! The size of the room was a huge plus for me! My partner and I had plenty of space. It's tucked away and privet. Overall it was great and we would be happy to stay there again.
My parents and I stayed here this past week as a much deserved rest on the way to Chicago. The staff was warm and welcoming, definitely a plus. They informed us that the place is under new management and working to fix things up, I think they are on a good track to do so. The room was quiet and cozy, bed was comfortable, and the AC worked great. We really enjoyed the balcony facing the woods too. It honestly reminded me of days long past spent in a lodge during a girl scout outing. I would definitely consider staying here again if I'm out that way again, my parents said likewise.
